Bachelor

Master
This International Master Program is aimed at students with a solid background in one of the five regional specializations: India, Tibet, China, Japan or Thailand. We consider language competence in one of these regions a crucial factor. Most of our courses are based on primary sources and philological training is required in order to be able to follow the classes. The program offers various courses on topics relevant for the study of Buddhism and encourages students to spend a semester at a university abroad. Participating in the courses will train the skills in dealing with Buddhist primary sources and advance the competence in cross-cultural and interdisciplinary communication with fellow students from other fields.
