The Master Program Modern East Asian Studies is designed for students who hold a BA in East Asian regional studies or East Asian language studies. It aims to train students in the theoretical and problem-centered analysis of social, political and economic phenomena in East Asia in order to deepen and enrich the students’ ability to assess contemporary change in East Asia. East Asian language skills are developed further.
Japanese or Chinese language skills are required.
Program start: October
Program duration: 1 year (60 ECTS credits) or 2 years (120 ECTS credits), depending on skills in Political Science, Sociology or Economics.
